| WHO IS CPS? CPS Dental, Inc. (CPS) is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), established in 1989, with over 800 dental locations in the New York and New Jersey Metropolitan area. CPS is not an insurance company. We offer the DentSaveSM program to groups and to individuals who do not have dental insurance or who wish to supplement their coverage. | |||||
| WHO PAYS THE DENTISTS? You pay the discounted dental fees, as shown on your fee schedule, directly to the dentist. DentSaveSM is a discount dental membership program, providing you with deep discounts on your dental services. You do get a free exam and x-rays at the start of each new, or renewal, membership year. | |||||
| WHERE ARE CPS DENTISTS LOCATED? DentSaveSM is currently available in the New York City metropolitan area. If you live outside of this service area you should not join DentSaveSM at this time. CPS is expanding the DentSaveSM service area; so if you give us your email address, we will notify you when DentSave is available in your area. | |||||
| HOW ARE CPS DENTISTS CHOSEN? CPS dentists are selected through referrals from: dental consultants, colleagues of existing panel members and member recommendations. They are screened based on their expertise, endorsement of our program and a background verification. They are all well respected community members. Specialists are all Board Qualified or Board Certified. Most participating dentists are located in the neighborhoods where program members either work or reside. Credentials are reviewed prior to acceptance and the panel is monitored on an ongoing basis. | |||||
| WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP IN THE CPS GROUP PROGRAM? Everyone who doesn't have access to dental insurance now has an affordable alternative. You can slash 25% - 50% off the cost of usual and customary dental services. The CPS DentSaveSM Program member will always know, in advance, exactly what the dental fee-for-service will be. All members (whether actively employed, retired or unemployed) can choose any CPS DentSaveSM participating dentists. The initial no charge exam and x-rays will defray the entire cost of the membership fee.There are no waiting periods, no deductibles, no exclusions and no forms to fill out. Cosmetic dental procedures are included in the program. All applicants are guaranteed membership. Once you join the program you can renew your membership on every anniversary date. Membership fees are those in effect on your renewal date. | |||||
IF I HAVE A DENTAL INSURANCE PROGRAM, SHOULD I JOIN THE DENTSAVESM PROGRAM? Absolutely. Most insurance plans usually reimburse 40% - 80% of the dentist's fees. You, the patient, pay the difference. Since the CPS DentSaveSM Program fee schedule is lower than the dentist's charges to the general public you will have a much smaller difference to pay out of your pocket. In addition, the CPS DentSaveSM Program may provide low cost fees for treatments and procedures not covered by your dental insurance. (e.g. cosmetic dentistry.) | |||||
HOW DO I FIND A CPS PARTICIPATING DENTIST? After you become a member of the CPS DentSaveSM Program and get your personal identification card you should review the list of CPS participating dentists. After reviewing this list, you select a dentist whose practice is convenient to your home or workplace. Call the dentist you select and set up an appointment for your initial complimentary exam and x-rays. And that's all there is to it. If you want to change your dentist, you can do so at any time and for any reason. You, and you alone, select your dentist and decide whether you will continue treatment with the dentist you selected. | |||||
SINCE I CAN JOIN AT ANY TIME, CAN'T I WAIT AND JOIN WHEN I NEED A DENTIST? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! In dentistry that really is true. We encourage preventive care so that you won't "need a dentist". Prevention is far more cost effective than expensive reconstruction. It's in your own best interest to join and use this plan right away. And remember the initial exam and x-rays are offered at "no charge" to you. | |||||
| WHAT ARE THE COSTS FOR THE CPS DENTSAVESM PROGRAM? The annual cost of membership for this program is remarkably modest: - Individual $70 The value of your no charge initial exam and x-rays will defray the entire cost of your membership. | |||||
| HOW DO I JOIN? Complete the membership form and send it along with a check to cover the cost of the membership to CPS. We will send you your membership card(s). You will then be ready to use the dentist of your choice. WHAT MEMBERSHIP MATERIALS DO I GET WHEN I JOIN THE DENTSAVESM PROGRAM? All new DentsaveSM members will recieve an identification card showing their DentsaveSM membership. In addition, a welcome letter describes how to use the program. Other items include a printed listing of all participating dentists and a fee schedule which clearly shows how much you have to pay for dental procedures and treatment. | |||||
